Everything we are most often asked about the series, the timepieces, the medallions, and what it means to carry one forward.
The Founding Series is the inaugural chapter line of Founders Republic Watch Co. — three timepieces and their companion medallions, each honoring a moment in the American Republic.
Chapter I — The Founding Fathers · "We The People." Chapter II — The Lincoln · "The Republic Endures." Chapter III — The American Eagle Chronograph · "Liberty and Strength."
Each chapter's timepiece is strictly limited to 1,776 individually numbered pieces worldwide. Once a chapter's edition of watches is filled, it will never be reproduced again. Medallions are not numbered or limited. They remain in production so the Republic can be carried forward by anyone.
Once a chapter is complete, no additional numbered production will ever be created.
Yes. Each chapter is its own moment. And when one closes, the Republic moves on to its next chapter. Members of The Republic Archive are notified first when a new chapter is announced.
Submitting a reservation through our pre-order page places you on the list for the chapter of your choice. A member of our concierge team will follow up with deposit details, expected delivery, and your serial number.
You are not charged at the moment of reservation — the request simply secures your place in the queue.
Founding Editions are issued in the order they are reserved. The earlier your reservation, the lower your number.
Members of The Republic Archive receive 24–72 hour early access to each new chapter, before public release.
Ship windows are confirmed individually with each reservation by our concierge team. We aim to deliver every chapter within 30–60 days of order confirmation, though specific lead times vary by piece and finish.
Where possible — yes. Add a preferred number to the Notes field on your reservation. Birth years, founding dates, and meaningful numbers are honored when still available.

The first three Chapter Sets (Founding Fathers, Lincoln, and American Eagle) also include the Founders Republic Inaugural Coin, 14K gold plated, issued only with these inaugural chapters and never to be struck again.
Through The Republic Archive — our owners-only registry. Once registered, your watch is recorded with its number, your name, and the date acquired. You receive a digital certificate and access to the member-only archive.
The Founding Fathers and The Lincoln are both powered by a Swiss-made Sellita automatic — a mark of precision, reliability, and traditional watchmaking. Custom Founders Republic rotor engraving, viewable through the exhibition sapphire caseback.
The Eagle is powered by the Japanese Seiko VK64 hybrid mecha-quartz chronograph. It combines quartz reliability with the tactile feel and sweeping seconds hand of a mechanical chronograph — instant-reset action, refined wearing experience.
The Founding Fathers and The Lincoln are 40mm polished stainless steel with 14K gold PVD plating, slim dress profile, sapphire crystal, and 10 ATM water resistance.
The Eagle Chronograph is a 41mm stainless steel sport case with a unidirectional deep navy ceramic bezel, screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, and 10 ATM resistance.
All gold finishes are 14K gold PVD plating over a stainless steel core — durable, evenly applied, and far more resilient than traditional gold plating.
Solid struck bronze, matte 14K gold plating, high-relief sculpted, double-sided. Reeded edge detailing. Presented in a solid oak display case.
Yes. Each medallion is also available standalone at $149 through our Medallions page. Each is presented in its own solid oak display case.
No. Only the watches are limited and individually numbered. Medallions — whether they accompany a Chapter Set or are purchased on their own — are not numbered and not capped at any edition size. They remain in production so the figures of the Republic can be carried by anyone who wishes to mark them.
